The Driver delivers vehicles and in some instances, customers, employees or vendors safely and timely to the appropriate destination(s) while giving helpful, courteous and professional customer service.The starting rate of pay is $17.60 / hour. This position is located at 3125 Veterans Memorial Hwy Suite 2 Ronkonkoma, NY 11779.The start date for the season is on or after August 15th and ends January 15th and cannot exceed 150 days.The schedules available is:Monday 8am-4:30pmTuesday 8am-4:30pmWednesday 8am-4:30pmThursday 8am-4:30pmFriday 8am-4:30pmResponsibilities
The Driver is responsible for the transporting of fleet cars and vans to and from rental locations, as well as navigating written directions.Drive and deliver vehicles locally or out of area as needed, following all rules of the roadDeliver customers and vehicles to appropriate destination in a safe and courteous mannerRide with or follow another driver to drop off vehicle(s) or pick up multiple vehiclesOrganize travel route and ensure vehicle paperwork is accurate and timelyMay need to communicate via 2-way radio or cellular phoneMay be asked to clean vehiclesPerform miscellaneous job-related duties as assignedEqual Opportunity Employer/Disability/VeteransQualifications
Must be at least 18 years of ageThe ability to operate a motor vehicle is an essential function of this position. Applicants must have a valid, unrestricted driver's licenseMust be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship from our company for an employment based work permit or other work authorization document now or in the futureMust be able to read, write, and speak EnglishMust be living within a reasonable commute of no more than 1 hour from this locationSeasonal employees may work for up to 150 days during a defined season (FT or PT hours). They must experience a 6 month break in service at the end of the season prior to working again as a seasonal or a regular employee.Must be willing to accept a seasonal position starting on or after August 15th, and ending on or before January 15th.
