Michael page have partners with a high volume residential homebuilder focused on projects throughout the Dallas Market. As a result of this continued and sustained growth our client is looking for a single family residential Estimator to join there team, focusing on the delivery of up to 800 homes annually.
Job Description
Managing over construction professionals and the purchasing team the Estimating manager will be responsible for preparing the direct job cost budgets for assigned homes or projects. This includes coordination of purchase order approval, printing and releases, bidding of jobs and the procurement of Labor and materials per site.
Alongside this your roles and responsibilities will include:
Negotiate prices, including terms and model discounts, with all Trade partners and, in addition, negotiate rebates from Manufacturers.Assist with the review, qualify and hire Trade partnersHelping to manager oversee and implement new process improvement and software upgrades to Brixx and Buildpro across all business operations.Ensure that all necessary documentation has been collected from Trade partners prior to start of work and, thereafter, update on an annual basis. (i.e.: subcontract, W-9, pricing, scopes of work, occupational license, etc.)Solicit bids from outside trades on a routine basis to confirm current competitive rates from Trade partnersmanage all purchasing and estimating take offs and start up processes for new homes throughout the cityMaintaining all Cost V Budget documentation, Cost Variance Analysis and manage all takeoff bids, pay rolling and overall sub contractor management and compliance.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. Strong track record of estimating focused on residential home for a large high volume home builderMinimum of 5 years of Estimating Experience within residential constructionKnowledge of various estimating softwareExcellent communication skillsAbility to meet deadlines
