Job Summary:

The Network Engineer installs, configures, and provides maintenance of LAN/WAN infrastructure, video conferencing, phone systems, and hardware infrastructure for the organization.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:Configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer networks including routers, switches, firewalls, access points, wireless controllers, and WAN linksMonitoring systems to improve performance and ensure network healthTroubleshooting, resolving, and communicating networking issues to other employees and managementMaintaining current knowledge and understanding of security and networking best practices to offer the best solutions and protection to company systemsResponsible for diagnosing and solving problems under time constraintsImplements the necessary controls and procedures to protect information system assets from intentional or inadvertent modification, disclosure, or destructionAssists in the development of guidelines and procedures for administration and security best practicesProvides network documentationManages projects and maintenance tasksWorks closely with colleagues to meet team goals and improve processes and practicesPromote a safe workplace by performing all tasks in a safe and thoughtful manner in compliance with all rules, procedures, instructions, devices, equipment and use of appropriate personal protective equipment. Maintain vigilance for any hazardous conditions or practices in the workplace and immediately report any unsafe condition or practice to your supervisor.Performs other duties as directedCompetencies:

Comprehensive understanding of network services and networks such as TCP/IP, OSPF, DMVPN, and EIGRPIn-depth understanding and practical knowledge of networking systems such as switches, firewalls, routers and wireless devicesAbility to analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues, and provide solutions to ensure networks are operating efficientlyExcellent implementation and support of the theory and practices of operating systems, application software, and other information technology systemsAbility to configure and troubleshoot Wi-Fi and security infrastructureAbility to manage several projects simultaneously from design to implementationAbility to communicate technical information to other technical team members but also to coworkers in other departments who may not have knowledge of networking technical terminologyNetworking proficiency and understanding to troubleshoot issues with minimal supervisionWorking knowledge of telephone systems and video conferencingProficient in Microsoft Office, What's Up Gold, and Cisco PrimeFamiliarity with NetBox, and SharePoint is a plusWork Environment:

Works primarily in a climate controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potentialOccasional travel is requiredPhysical Demands:

Ability to be punctual and attend work on a regular and consistent basisAbility to concentrate with various interruptions and various noise levelsThe person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.Must be able to remain in a stationary position 80 percent of the timeOccasionally will be expected to lift boxes not to exceed 50 poundsMinimum Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Related Field3+ years of Networking Experience in a multi-location environmentCCNA, other networking, and / or security certifications are preferred
