40% coding - 60% mentor/ leading the teamInsight Global is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for a customer's front office team supporting their Logistics capabilities. This role involves leading and mentoring a hybrid team (3-5 members in the US and 4-5 in India), collaborating with a team lead in India for seamless cross-time zone coordination. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing technical leadership and mentorship to ensure high-quality code and best practices, coordinating with the team lead in India to manage workflows, and overseeing the delivery of productivity applications and integrations to meet the needs of internal uand customers. The role also involves partnering with software engineers, a delivery lead, and Business Systems Analysts (BSAs) to execute projects and enhance logistics capabilities, engaging in backend services, third-party integrations( including mobile application creation), software development, and collaborating with delivery teams, product owners, and business uto plan and estimate features for the product roadmap. The ideal candidate has proven experience as a technical leader or mentor within a software development environment, strong communication skills for managing teams across different time zones, and a background in logistics or experience with third-party integrations. Required Skills & Experience

4-6 years of experience in the software development lifecycle (requirements gathering, analysis, design, documentation, development, prototyping, testing, deployment).3+ years of experience with an object-oriented programming language.Experience in large-scale cloud-native applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP.Leadership experience in technical teams for custom software application projects.Experience in test automation (unit, integration, end-to-end) and CI/CD pipelines.Experience in mentoring and training software engineers.Proficiency in Node.js for backend development on AWS serverless lambdas and containers.Experience with React for web front ends.Familiarity with various AWS services (DynamoDB, RDS, S3, SQS, SNS and EventBridge).
