Job Title: Construction Estimator
Job Description
We are seeking an entry-level Construction Estimator to join our team in Columbus for 1 year, with the opportunity to open our new office in Indianapolis. This role offers future options for a hybrid schedule. As an estimator, you will accurately estimate costs for carpentry projects ranging from $20k to $7 million+, coordinate with subcontractors to secure competitive bids, and utilize ProEst and SmartBid software for estimation tasks. You will communicate effectively with stakeholders, collaborate with other estimators, project managers, and superintendents, and perform detailed takeoffs for various construction projects.Hard SkillsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related fieldAt least 2 years of experience in the construction fieldAbility to read blueprintsStrong understanding of construction techniques, materials, and methodsExperience with cost estimationProficiency with technologySoft SkillsAttention to detailAccuracy in estimationsEffective communicationCollaborationJob Type
