Tesla is seeking an Construction Estimator with relevant construction experience to support the buildout of Tesla's facilities and infrastructure. This position will be directly responsible for working on project management system deployment with heavy focus on system design visualization, stakeholder interface, and end user experience enhancement throughout the various project stages. In addition, this role will support the costs management and executive reporting through data visualization.

Responsibilities

Develop and present high-level cost estimates for multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentCreate detailed cost estimates as designs progress, collaborating with stakeholders on cost drivers and value engineering opportunities across all tradesMaintain a proactive approach to ensure all stakeholders are aligned with program goalsDefine long-term strategies for estimation methodologies, tools, and systems for CAPEX projectsEstimate cost impacts related to design changes and construction strategies during project execution, working closely with project teams to forecast costsAssist in preparing cost information for project funding requests to management as well as track and summarize estimate performance in collaboration with FinanceContribute to the development of estimating standards, procedures, and systems, and provide input for future benchmarking and estimating toolsRequirements

5+ years of experience in estimation, preferably across all tradesExperience in estimating Civil, Structural, Architectural, Mechanical, Piping, and life safety systemsProven experience in value engineering and rapid cost modelingFundamental knowledge of construction processes; experience in construction management preferredAbility to thrive in a high-performance, cross-functional organization with tight timelines and aggressive goalsExperience with change management procedures and ability to prepare cost trend/change estimatesWillingness to travel to project locations as needed (up to 50%), sometimes on short noticeCompensation and BenefitsBenefits

$88,000 - $300,000/annual salary, depending on level + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
