National Account Manager

to work hand in hand with one of the World's largest retailers:

Kroger . We need someone who is intellectually curious, results driven, politely persistent, analytically inclined, and passionate about building relationships while adding value. The person will work alongside our internal Kroger team, as well as working cross-functionally with our Marketing, Sales, Consumer/Category Insights, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure clear, reliable, and consistent communication with our Kroger Partners and Key Distributors.

Be relentless in all internal and external aspects of our businessDevelops and nurtures value-enhancing, strategic partnerships within Kroger HQ and with our Distributor partners.Conduct frequent surveys to ensure accurate pricing and programming is executed per quality standardsUtilize sales tools (IRI, Margin Minder, VIP) to analyze, develop, and execute strategic sales plansResponsible for developing and executing key customer initiativesWork with our internal team to execute company and department initiatives; develop and implement POS materials, distribution, and display enhancersResponsible for market level education and supportSchedule and conduct regular information-based sales calls with Kroger buying team(s), including business reviews and programming presentationsManages the communication of expectations and timelines among the customer and distribution partner including product release schedules, volume forecasts, pricing, distribution targets, and support materialsAssists in annual budget plans - tracks and reports progress monthlyPerforms administrative duties in a timely fashion (email follow ups, reporting, updating system logs, maintaining accurate key contact list, etc.)Coordinates and participates in regularly scheduled sales meetings among distribution partners and internal staffCollaborates on distributor order processingAbility and willingness to participate in a myriad of customer-facing events such as festivals, store tastings, beer dinners, brewery tours, educational seminars, etc.Additional duties may be assigned as neededWhat You'll Need:

Bachelor's Degree preferredThirst for knowledge & desire for continuous improvement3+ years of sales/marketing experience within the beer industry, with a year or more being direct experience working with Chain RetailersProficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word, and Power PointAbility to collaborate cross functionallyAdvanced public speaking and presentation skillsAbility to build and maintain strong business relationshipsExperience using the following software is strongly preferred: IRI/Nielsen, Salesforce, TM1 (or a similar forecasting system)Responsible for maintaining a professional demeanor and presentation at all times - including situations in which alcohol is present

Regular travel (40 - 60%) is required. To be eligible for this role, you must have valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and reliable means of transportation to travel between accounts.
