Director, Strategic Accounts, Alastin

Location: Remote (US Nationwide)

Description

The Director, Strategic Accounts

will serve as a strategic business partner on the Alastin Sales Leadership Team and navigate seamlessly between external customer-oriented issues and the longer-term strategic initiatives, while engaging with cross functional teams such as Commercial Excellence, Marketing, Sales Analytics, Finance and Home Office. This position will also have indirect influence through Regional Sales Directors and Account Managers working within the Alastin Sales team. This position requires a high-level of communication, leadership, business acumen and decision-making abilities to provide strategic planning and direction to direct and indirect reports to achieve sales objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Strategically lead and direct the Corporate Account Directors (CADs) and Strategic Account Managers (SAMs) teams while meeting national sales goals and customer related activitiesAchieve sales targets, gross margin and income goals via consultative sales approach and high level of support to key customersServe as a key contributor in the development of strategic and tactical plans (annual brand plans and sales plans) to ensure short and long-term market objectives and financial targets are achieved and aligned with corporate goalsLead the key customer engagement strategy while strengthening Alastin's customer relationships and drive sales growth within GaldermaCultivate relationships with industry thought leaders and key accounts that help strengthen current and future business potentialCoach, council and develop corporate account managers on core competencies, contracts, negotiations, buy and bill, direct selling techniques and market strategies to expand product demandMaintain strong industry awareness as markets evolve and utilize insights as inputs to the decision-making processesOther duties as assignedKey Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University is requiredMBA, J.D., Ph.D., or other graduate degree is preferredTwelve (12) years of progressive commercial sales experience with proven success in various commercial selling models in sales and/or marketing roles requiredThree (3) or more years managing a team of direct reports is requiredKnowledge of the KOLs and key accounts in the industry preferredStrong understanding of customer and market dynamics and broader economic environment.Understanding of client flow and processes at clinicsAbility to read and interpret documents such as company policies, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, financial reports, and legal documentsAbility to speak effectively over the telephone and face to face with employees, customers, and/or vendorsAbility to effectively make written or oral presentations and respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business communityAbility to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journalsProficient in MS Office; especially Word, Excel and PowerPointAbility to travel >50% to conduct sales force engagements, customer engagements, sales meetings, and participate in corporate HQ meetingsWhat we offer in return
