About the Role
As a Data Science Intern, you will analyze complex data sets and develop practical data mining and statistical analysis skills. You will also create machine learning-based data solutions. Successful applicants will gain real-world industry experience, attend weekly knowledge and development sessions, and network with peers and leadership.
The internship is 11-12 weeks long and starts on June 2, 2025. This internship is on-site in Raleigh, NC. Relocation assistance is NOT provided.
ResponsibilitiesAssisting in collecting, cleaning, and organizing large datasets for analysis.
Collaborating with team members to develop and test predictive models and algorithms.
Conducting exploratory data analysis to identify trends and patterns within the data
Contributing to the creation of data visualizations and reports to communicate findings.
Supporting the implementation of machine learning models and evaluating their performance
Participating in the evaluation and testing of new data science tools and technologies.
Requirements
Be pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Data Engineering, Statistics, or a related field. Applicants must have a graduation date
AFTER
June 2025 to be eligible for consideration.
Be proficient in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
Demonstrate a deep understanding of machine learning algorithms and proficiency in using data visualization tools.
Have excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Be detail-oriented with an exceptional ability to work independently and in a team.
Have a passion for leveraging data to drive business insights and decision-making.
