Technical Project Manager, Opower at Oracle in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description Job Description About the Job As a Technical Project Manager, you will work with our utility clients and internal teams to deploy our ground breaking cloud product suite. Your main responsibility is to ensure that Opower deployments are delivered on-time and according to client specifications. You will manage complex software-as-a-service (SaaS) implementations by creating comprehensive project plans, managing delivery timelines, and raising issues for partner concern as appropriate. This is a meaningful role for the Opower team as we expand our custom service offerings to our clients and take on more complex implementations tailored to unique client needs. This is an ideal job for someone who has a passion for working with clients and software products, exercises sound business judgment, is an effective multi-tasker and a strategic problem solver with an outstanding attention to detail. The successful candidate will be a demonstrated quick learner and self-starter - with the ability to initiate and make difficult calls and also function well within a team environment. Responsibilities + Manage complex technical implementations while demonstrating excellence in client service + Connect with clients in a thoughtful and impactful manner that helps foster positive relationships + Understand technical components of a SaaS deployment and communicate requirements to both business and technical client audiences + Serve as the internal central point of communication around project status, timelines, and risks + Ensure project tasks are completed on time and within scope + Resolve issues and build internal relationships to help move projects forward + Define, document, and implement project management standard methodologies and process improvements (reduce time to launch) Career Level - IC3 Responsibilities About You + Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university required. + Must be able to support PST/MST time zone customers + You have 5 - 7 years of strong project management experience, ideally in a rapidly-paced top-tier consulting firm, services, or technology-related environment. Previous start-up and/or SaaS business model experience is ideal. + Experience in the Utility Industry (Gas, Water, Electric) is a very strong plus + You understand technical concepts, including application architecture, data relationships and features at a deep functional level, and you have managed project plans related to complex technology implementations. + You love working with clients and feel ownership over the success of each project + You are an excellent communicator who can work well with clients and teammates across multiple time zones; you are able to move projects along using conference calls, Zoom, wikis, and other project management tools; we're looking for someone who navigates Excel effortlessly - proficiency in Excel is a must for this role + You know how to build an effective project plan that takes into account technical details, internal and external dependencies, shared resources, and risks. + You are comfortable working with different project management technologies and have an eye towards process improvement and efficiency + You thrive when given the opportunity to work on multiple projects simultaneously, and have the ability to make multi-tasking look effortless. + You function well in a fast-paced, informal environment where constant change is the norm and the bar for delivering results is set high. Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only US: Hiring Range: from $71,200 to $158,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
