Job Summary

:

This position will manage and develop sales through food brokers, distributors, and targeted operators within the food service segment. The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will proficiently sell and create relationships with key multi-unit accounts, strategic operators, and distributors.

The RSM should thoroughly understand the relationship between manufacturers, food brokers, distributors, and operators. The RSM will be responsible for managing and developing all aspects of their respective region, including new product distribution and distributor relationships, working with our broker partners to utilize and develop this sales asset. The RSM will manage both sales and expense budgets in their assigned markets. A requirement of this position is maintaining and using CRM / Salesforce. The regional sales manager should be located within the respective region, preferably in a central area. The Regional Sales Manager is required to live in the Metro NY region.

Essential Job Functions

:Successful execution of the Schweid & Sons strategic sales plan and mutually developed strategic and tactical objectives in the assigned region.Developing and presenting Distributor Business Plans / ReviewsManaging all local trade spending, expense budgets, and deductions.Manage local data supporting Salesforce utilization.Supply market intelligence forecasts, market analysis, and market strategiesReporting on changes in the market that could impact on our business.Management, training, and development of the Company’s Broker in assigned region while maintaining a min acceptable broker scorecard rating.Development of business from key operators and multi-unit accounts within assigned regions.Development of distribution within assigned regionDevelopment of new products through new distribution and operator penetration.Manage sales and profits within assigned regions.Develop systems and support processes to create opportunities and programs at the regional level.Support the National Accounts and Corporate Accounts team and objectives within the assigned region.Manage profitable product portfolio within region.Manage and develop a symbiotic relationship with our agency/broker sales partners.Communicating to key people within the appointed regions changes in pricing, logistics, and products.Managing information within the Salesforce Sales PipelineUtilize and leverage marketing assets, traditional marketing support, social media, and technology to create value beyond the Burger.Motivating, training, and developing the broker and distributor sales representatives to sell Schweid & Sons products.Doing necessary internal IT functions on time while still traveling within your region to execute in person activities.Create relationships with key personnel within each of our sales segments, owners, operators, and top executives to assist in developing our business with these accounts.Develop a balanced approach to managing customer’s needs with the profitability of Schweid & SonsMinimum Requirements

:

Sales reporting with CRM system, Salesforce preferable5 years of sales experience with distributors & operators within the market applying for.Experience managing and growing multiple food broker/agency sales teams.Food service industry background required.Excellent verbal, and written communication skillsAbility to travel by auto & air transportation independently.Ability to reach executive management within distribution channels.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office platform, Excel, Word, and PowerPointStrong problem solving, consulting skills, and attention to detail.Ability to analyze and utilize sales data to develop sales plans.Ability to multi-task, work independently, and meet necessary deadlines.
