The PositionVerve is looking for a Senior Manager, FP&A, to join our growing team. This role will support the set up and refinement of processes, infrastructure and reporting to provide improved visibility and support for decision making in resourcing and spend. We are looking for an individual who will bring prior knowledge and experience supporting R&D and G&A organizations in companies with preclinical and early-stage assets to set up financial infrastructure, processes, tracking and reporting that will establish a framework to support rapid growth.

Job Responsibilities

Financial and operational business partner for our Research and Development Teams and General and Administrative Functions.

Work with the functional teams to develop reliable resource and operating expense budgets/forecasts for these organizations and track/report actual spend vs forecast.

Report key performance indicators & spending risks against targets and recommend & implement corrective actions for larger variances.

Meet all budget/forecast timelines & deliverables.

Provide business support to teams to develop and monitor key planning assumptions, ensuring cross-functional alignment and transparency.

Work with R&D teams to ensure spend & resource alignment with both short-term and long-term strategy.

Partner with Accounting team on month-end accrual development and expense recognition.

Provide financial analysis to support portfolio decision making Consolidated Budget/Forecast Reporting & Analysis Responsibilities.

Design, update & maintain corporate-level reporting and provide analytics with comparisons to prior versions, targets, scenarios, etc., including key program resourcing & spend.

Maximize our reporting capabilities and make improvement suggestions in areas where we can become more efficient.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, MBA a plus.

Life sciences experience, including financial experience supporting pre-clinical and clinical trials.

At least 7 years of relevant industry experience.

Strong problem solving and analytical abilities.

Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and implement various projects simultaneously.

Strong oral and written communication skills for interacting with all levels of management.

Ability to work on fast-paced team and drive process, timelines and deliverables with an eye for detail and accuracy.
