We are looking for a visionary Vice President of Underwriting to join our team and help us revolutionize the senior housing market. In this role, you will be the cornerstone of our finance structuring team, leading the charge in crafting and approving deals that maximize profits and minimize losses.
What you'll be doing:
Establish internal underwriting department objectives, and head underwriting and approval processes to maximize profits and minimize losses.
Oversee the development and assure implementation of the Underwriting Department's policies, programs, practices, procedures, standards, and guidelines to achieve profitable results and acceptable loss ratios for all lines of business.
Develop, monitor, and assess Underwriting productivity and service standards.
Collaborate with key stakeholders on operations and strategy implementation.
Build, lead, train, and mentor the underwriting team.
Implement learnings from investor and partner interaction into actionable procedure development and expansion.
Drive the company underwriting guidelines, policies, and procedures, as well as federal and state regulatory requirements to ensure compliance at all times.
What you'll bring to the table:
12+ years of underwriting experience.
5+ years of underwriting experience in senior living required.
Bachelor's Degree.
Demonstrated experience in leading a team.
Excellent communication skills.
