This position is a hybrid role, with 3 days onsite at our Home Office in Chicago (River North), IL.Reports To:

Chief Operating OfficerPosition Overview:Reporting into the COO, the Vice President of Operations will lead a team of Regional Directors and be responsible for overseeing the overall operations of all Puttshack locations across the United States. This role requires a strategic leader with a strong background in multi-unit management within the food and beverage, social events, and hospitality industry. The VP of Operations will champion the Puttshack culture, ensure that all locations operate efficiently, meet financial targets, deliver outstanding guest experiences, and adhere to the company's standards and values.Key Responsibilities:Operational Leadership:Oversee day-to-day operations of all US Puttshack locations across all areas of the venue, including game & technology, food & beverage, and overall environment.Develop and implement operational strategies and key metrics to measure and enhance efficiency, profitability, and guest satisfaction.Build, implement, and measure company policies, procedures, and standards to adhere to compliance and business objectives.Partner with Technology, Training, Ops Support and other cross-functional departments to implement and/or manage day-to-day systems and SOPs within the venue, including scheduling tools, Puttshack technology, guest satisfaction, course performance, etc.Financial Management:Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for all locations, monitoring and measuring financial performance through Regional Directors to present to Executive Leadership on regular basis.Identify and implement cost savings opportunities to impact overall P&L performance.Collaborate with Sales and Marketing Leadership to identify and capitalize on opportunities to drive sales & revenue growth through enhanced service delivery and special events.Team Development and Management:Manage and develop Regional Directors, ensuring they provide leadership and support for all venues.Partner with Talent Acquisition to identify, attract, and hire top talent across venues, with an emphasis on key Leadership roles such as General Managers, Executive Chefs, and Hospitality Managers.Identify skills and knowledge gaps in Regional Directors and venue leadership. Collaborate with L&D and HR to train and develop a high-performing operations team.Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork and employee engagement.Drive accountability and consistency by conducting regular performance evaluations and providing constructive coaching and feedback.Guest Experience:Ensure that all locations deliver a consistently exceptional guest experience.Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements based on insights.Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including guests, partners, and vendors.Strategic Planning and Execution:Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute the company's strategic plan.Identify and pursue opportunities for expansion and growth, partnering with Construction, Training, and other cross-functional teams to open New Venues.Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to ensure Puttshack remains a leader in the market.Compliance and Safety:Ensure all locations comply with health and safety regulations and standards.Implement and monitor safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for guests and employees.Address and resolve any operational or safety issues promptly.Required Skills and Experience:Bachelor's degree in related field, or experience equivalent.Minimum of 10 years of experience in multi-unit operations management within the events, food & beverage, hospitality, and/or social entertainment industry, including at least 3 years at the Executive level.Minimum of 7 years of experience leading and developing a large team of General Managers, Directors, and other Food and Beverage hospitality staff.Proven track record of driving operational excellence and managing P&L to achieve financial targets.Strong leadership and team development skills.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.Tech savvy and willingness to learn new systems and tools.Ability to travel frequently to various Puttshack locations across the USA.This position must pass a post-offer background check.Preferred Skills and Experience:Experience within a high-growth start-up, including building and implementing programs and policies from scratch.Physical Requirements:Physical activities on a continuous basis, sit at desk for a long period of time; frequent use of telephone/video conferencing and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means.Some walking and lifting, up to 25 lbs. may be required.The noise level in the work environment is typically low to moderate.The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions and responsibilities of this job.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions and responsibilities.What's in it for you:Paid PTOHealth insurance: medical, dental, and vision50% off Food & BeverageFree Mini GolfPaid Parental LeaveAt the intersection of entertainment and hospitality, Puttshack is committed to equal opportunity and is firmly committed to preventing discrimination and harassment, including sexual misconduct, based on legally protected diversity characteristics (such as race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, family status, citizenship, genetic information, and veteran status) in its application and hiring processes and in its employment decisions.
