Joyous is adding a VP of Operations to our team! This role will report directly to the CEO and involves strategic oversight and enhancement of our telemedicine services, provider management, patient support, and integration of technological solutions in mental health care. Additionally, you will be directly responsible for managing the relationship with the pharmacy, management of the company supply chain, as well as strategic capacity planning and management. Your leadership will be instrumental in scaling our services nationwide and ensuring the highest standards of care and operational excellence.

This role will be located onsite at our HQ in San Mateo, CA.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership in Mental Health Tech: Lead the operational strategy for mental health care delivery, aligning with Joyous' mission and technological advancements.Mental Health Provider Management: Oversee the recruitment, training, and management of mental health professionals, ensuring they align with Joyous' standards of care and technological approach.Performance and KPI Management: Set and monitor key performance indicators specifically tailored to mental health care delivery and patient outcomes.Nationwide Telemedicine Operations: Manage the expansion and regulation compliance of telemedicine services across various states, focusing on mental health care.Innovative Technology Implementation: Drive the integration and optimization of electronic health records (EHR) and other mental health tech solutions.Compliance and Ethical Standards: Uphold high ethical standards and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, with a special focus on mental health care.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with tech teams, healthcare professionals, and other departments to deliver integrated and patient-centered mental health services.Vendor Management: Effectively manage the relationships with numerous vendors, including our pharmacy, manufacturers, and other supply chain partners.
Qualifications:
Extensive Experience: 15+ years of progressive operations experience, with a track record of successful project execution and strategy development.Leadership Prowess: 5+ years of demonstrable leadership experience, leading cross-functional teams and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.Startup Affinity: Proven early-stage startup experience, showcasing adaptability, strategic agility, and a hands-on approach. Experience in the medical technology industry is a significant advantage.Industry Knowledge: Solid background in operations, ideally within the medical technology or related sectors, showing a deep understanding of market trends, challenges, and opportunities.Medical Compliance Expertise: Profound knowledge of medical compliance standards and regulations, ensuring that all company operations adhere to industry guidelines and best practices.Communication Excellence: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of liaising with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.Analytical Acumen: Strong problem-solving skills, data-driven approach, and the ability to foresee operational bottlenecks and strategize solutions.Passion for Mental Health: A deep-rooted passion for mental health and dedication to finding equitable treatments in mental healthcare, championing the cause at both strategic and operational levels.
In addition to the base salary range listed below, you can expect additional compensation for this role in the form of an annual bonus as well as company issued stock options.

$180,000—$220,000 USD
