Our client, a Managed Service Provider specializing in IT support for small and mid-market businesses, is seeking a Regional Sales VP to be in a player/coach role and energized to lead a small sales team on the west coast.Job Summary:Supervise and manage a team of inside and outside account executives responsible for selling IT Solutions services. Provide leadership to obtain maximum sales revenues and attainment of corporate objectives for region. Assign sales territories, train employees, set quotas, and allocate resources to ensure revenue targets are met for region.Responsibilities:Lead the execution of strategies that interest and engage target prospect accounts in close coordination with business development team.Participate in strategic partnerships with industry vendors including Microsoft, Apple, Dell, Cisco and Claris FileMaker, as well as referral relationships with local companies working with similar clients.Establish strong relationships with strategic, key accounts, understanding their needs and ensuring excellent deliveryResponsible for Company brand and development of vertical go-to market strategies in existing markets served as well as new markets, as appropriate.Spearhead new initiatives to grow brand awareness and company image to expand opportunities for new client acquisition.Participate in development of pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and terms of agreement best practices.Recruit, hire, and manage all account executives in respective regional responsibilities and oversee activities to ensure team’s efforts align with the Company’s growth goals.Plan and direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales and service programs.Serve as an escalation point to resolve customer complaints regarding sales cycle process and/or sales execution.Track and analyze sales metrics, market trends, and regional performance to identify areas for optimization and improvement.Develop and deliver sales reports, forecasts, and presentations to leadership.Stay current with industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to inform strategic decisionsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Strong oral and written communication skillsEffective time management and multi-tasking skillsMaintains the ability to stay organized and be detail-orientedDemonstrates a passion for solving problems or helping others and take the initiative in driving continuous improvement/execution excellenceExceptional organizational skills, including the ability to self-manage and multi-task effectively and accurately in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentExtensive business knowledge with comprehensive understanding of the MSP industryIn-depth knowledge of Salesforce, ZoomInfo, and/or HubspotExceptional leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to motivate and guide a sales teamExperienceBachelor's Degree, or equivalent level of experience in related field2+ years’ experience in a sales leadership role7+ years' experience as a sales executive in a technology environment with a proven track record of effective selling and closing customers
