OpenThis position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment.Minimum Requirements:Citizenship:

Citizen of the United States.English Language Proficiency:

Must be proficient in spoken and written English.Education and/or Experience Combination:A bachelor's degree or higher in medical laboratory science, medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or a related science, AND completion of a medical technology clinical practice program accredited by NAACLS, CAAHEP, or ABHES.A bachelor's degree with 16 semester hours of biological science (including microbiology), 16 semester hours of chemistry (including organic or biochemistry), and one course in mathematics, AND two years of post-certification clinical laboratory experience as a certified Medical Laboratory Technician.A bachelor's degree with the same science requirements as above, AND five years of clinical laboratory experience performing moderate and/or high complexity testing.Certification:

Candidates must possess appropriate certification as a MT, MLS, or CLS from ASCP-BOC, ASCP-BOR, or AMT.Job Responsibilities:Perform a full range of laboratory procedures in chemistry, urinalysis, hematology, coagulation, microbiology, serology, and/or immunochemistry.Evaluate requested procedures and determine specimen suitability for analysis.Prepare reagents and perform quality control procedures.Instruct staff and providers on laboratory specimen requirements.Maintain records and files of tests performed.Operate laboratory analyzers and perform troubleshooting.Work Schedule:

M-F 11:30pm - 08:00am, rotating weekends and holidays.Telework:
