About the Position
The Vice President of Sales and Marketing is responsible for developing both short and long-term strategies that will motivate, inspire and lead the growth of Company through the mission of evolving Company into a world leader that increases growth and profitability in a meaningful way with highly effective products and programs.
They are responsible for providing visionary leadership with strategic direction and managing global revenue growth through the development and implementation of the sales and market strategies. As a senior leader, they will develop and coordinate the Company’s internal and contracted sales and marketing teams to successfully achieve Company revenue goals, holding them accountable to identified objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
include the following:
Work with other members of the executive team to define and achieve Company’s mission, vision and goals.
Oversee and direct all Sales and Marketing activities inspiring passion that leads to sales growth to forecast and team satisfaction.
Know our competitors, monitor activities and analyze possible threats to ensure we stay ahead of the competition.
Oversee and conduct market intelligence as part of the sales process and communicate findings to management.
Identify talent and hiring needs, and recruit, build and grow a high-performing team.
Develop a highly efficient team of marketing, customer experience and sales professionals, establishing clear accountability, metrics, priorities, and individual career goals.
Serve as a passionate steward, advocate and gatekeeper for the “Company” Brand and the equities built over time. Apply this same stewardship and guidance to new products being developed for the Company portfolio.
Build product demand by developing effective customer relationships in line with the Company’s vision and goals.
Drive base of business growth profitably, with sharper, more aggressive Marketing and Sales strategies which will increase the products families per customer, grow market share and increase repeat business.
Identify through market, representation and account input into the NPD team needed and desired portfolio of new products and programs to consistently grow future revenues.
Communicates information from Company’s executive team; translates organizational goals into departmental goals and individual goals.
Drive the changes already made in the Company and/or support the initiatives adopted while defining “what’s next” in terms of organizational capability and the range of relevant sales and marketing vehicles to utilize in building BP’s future business, profitably.
Maintain positive, professional and disciplined work environment promoting positive relations with partners, vendors and distributors.
Travel to customer locations regularly to build relationships, discover customer needs, conduct market intelligence, and provide sales/product training.
Oversee and communicate sales forecasts, market and customer outlook and conditions, customer opportunities and issues, and other sales data as required.
Develop and control the departmental expense and revenue budget.
Responsible for negotiating customer agreements within Company values and strategies.
Position Requirements :
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position directly supervises 6 managers in various positions. In this role, the Vice President carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; monitoring performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education and/or Experience:
10+ years Sales and Marketing management experience. Experience in Manufacturing and distribution or medical related field preferred.
A minimum of 5+ years managing domestic and international sales teams.
BA/BS degree in Business, Marketing or related field.
Experience in Complex Rehab Technology strongly preferred.
Proven and accomplished marketing background with a progressive career including (but not limited to): brand management, social media, and digital marketing.
Direct experience in the development of global markets through strategic planning and relationship building.
Demonstrated commitment to excellence, integrity, results and overall professionalism.
Experience working with agile methodology and associated tools, preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
