Position Duration:

Through June 30, 2025 or until the appointment of a permanent Foundation Marketing and Communications Manager.

The Position:The San Mateo County Colleges Foundation (SMCCCF) seeks an experienced, motivated, and results-oriented Marketing and Communications Manager to support and enhance fundraising and visibility among current and prospective donors. The role includes planning and executing the marketing plan, overseeing internal and external communications, and advancing the organization’s image.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and implement the organization’s annual communications and marketing plan.

Collaborate with the SMCCCF development team to conceive and implement effective campaigns.

Market SMCCCF’s programs to potential donors and track marketing activities.

Expand awareness of the organization throughout the San Mateo County service area.

Create and execute a monthly social media plan and manage social media platforms.

Develop and produce all organizational communication materials.

Enhance and maintain website content.

Plan and coordinate surveys to gauge SMCCCF reputation among external constituencies.

Work with development staff to generate relevant stewardship activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, journalism, communications, or a closely related field OR equivalent experience.

3+ years of experience in an organizational communication setting.

Demonstrated cultural competence and sensitivity to diverse backgrounds.

Proven ability to interpret and translate business strategies into creative marketing campaigns.

Exceptional skills in written communication and use of various computer software.
