Position Overview
The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of the organization’s technology infrastructure and systems.
This role involves creating, implementing, and coordinating technology strategies that align with short and long-term goals, mitigating technology-related risks, synergizing opportunities, resources, and technological collaboration, managing the technology budget to ensure it supports business objectives, leading teams through technical research and development methodologies and solutions, and reporting on the organization’s technology infrastructure and systems status, goals, and progress.
We’re looking for a team player with the ability to work full-time onsite.
The ideal candidate is collaborative and communicative and open to thoroughly understanding the company’s culture and needs to develop and execute technology infrastructure and systems strategy and lead innovation initiatives.
Responsibilities
Infrastructure management, including architecture and systems integration at an enterprise-level ensuring reliability, scalability, and security.
Technology risk management, including cybersecurity risk mitigation, regulatory compliance, and data privacy.
Stakeholder collaboration, including partnering, aligning, and communicating with executive leadership, technology vendors, etc.
Strategic technology planning, including assessing current and future technology investments and initiatives that support the organization’s strategic goals.
Process and project management, including timely, budget-friendly, and quality project delivery.
Vendor and partnership management, including monitoring vendor performance and ensuring compliance with contract terms and deliverables.
Team leadership, including defining roles and responsibilities of current IT team and establishing decision-making framework to set IT team up for progress and success.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
10+ years’ experience in a senior technology infrastructure leadership role, ideally as a CTO or similar position.
Proven track record of improving technology infrastructure operations and systems.
A strategic vision and the capacity to align technology with business objectives.
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage cross-departmental initiatives.
Skilled in negotiation and managing critical conversations with customers and stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving abilities, with a focus on identifying and mitigating risks.
Capacity to effectively communicate progress and risks clearly to leadership and technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Collaborative mindset and willingness to work with mentors and cross-functional teams.
Up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation.
Sound business acumen and a grasp of financial aspects for managing budgets and investments.
Adaptability and resilience in navigating a fast-paced and ever-evolving technology landscape.
Robust project management skills to oversee technology initiatives.
Unwavering ethical standards with a focus on data security and privacy.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as computer science, computer information systems, IT management, or database administration; master’s degree preferred.
