As a Kubernetes platform engineer, you know how to build resilient platforms that meet customer needs and take advantage of the power of containerization both in the cloud and on premises. We need you to help us develop cloud-based solutions to some of our customer’s toughest challenges.As a Kubernetes platform engineer on our team, you’ll develop and sustain multiple secure, resilient, and highly available Kubernetes clusters to support mission critical operations both regionally and on the edge. You’ll recommend tools and capabilities based on your research of the environment and knowledge of various on premise, cloud based, and hybrid resources. Your technical expertise will be vital as you work with your customer to ensure standards are met throughout the process. This is an opportunity to use the latest cloud technologies as you look for ways to improve your customer’s environment using cloud capabilities and implementing them on the edge. As a technical leader, you’ll identify new opportunities to build cloud-based solutions to help your customers meet their evolving needs. Join our team as we transform warfighter communications with cloud technology.You Have:5+ years of experience in the development of tools and processes to drive DevOps or DevSecOps maturity by automating builds, testing, monitoring, and pushing releases across environments5+ years of experience with OOP scripting or programming languages and Kubernetes5+ years of experience automating infrastructure provisioning with tools5+ years of experience with configuration management tools and automating CI / CD pipelinesExperience developing enterprise cloud-native solutions and hosting applications on commercial cloud providersExperience managing, administrating, configuring, deploying, and maintaining environments and system integration tools, including Kubernetes, Rancher, Harbor, Helm, Longhorn, or Rook-CephExperience ingesting and displaying metrics and data sources using dashboarding tools such as Grafana, Dynatrace, or DatadogExperience working with application development teams across the software development lifecycle and creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative team environmentAbility to obtain a security clearanceBachelor's degree or 8+ years of experience in DevOps in lieu of a degreeNice If You Have:Experience with tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or PuppetExperience with cloud solutions or providers such as AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, and GCPExperience working with Site Reliability Engineering concepts, principles, and best practicesExperience triaging and resolving issues related to both open source and commercial tools in public cloud environmentsExperience automating CI / CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins or GitLabExperience with containerization and container orchestration platforms with tools such as Docker and KubernetesKnowledge of scripting languages such as Python and Linux Shell ScriptKnowledge of common build tools such as Maven, Gradle, and NPMClearance:Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.Grow With UsYour growth matters to us—that’s why we offer a variety of ways for you to develop your career. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
