Staff Accountant

EIP has $5 billion in assets under management and invests globally across venture, growth, and credit with has a team of more than 90 professionals.EIP is seeking a Staff Accountant to join the growing Finance team led by the CFO and Controller. The Finance team works closely with the EIP investment, operations and investor relations teams and directly communicates with EIP’s Founder/CEO and COO. This position is based in Washington, DC and will require some travel.Assist in preparation of annual and quarterly financial statements and workbooks for EIP managed fundsMonitor and respond to investor requests including working directly with investor relations team on active fundraisingPrepare capital call and distribution notices and allocations for limited partner investorsAssist with quarterly portfolio company valuation process and preparation of quarterly portfolio monitoring data for Senior ManagementCash monitoring and liquidity management including preparing and tracking investment funding and distributionsPrepare cash, accrual, and amortization journal entriesTrack, maintain and improve controls, documentation and record-keepingAssist in the coordination with fund service providers including audit, tax, custody, valuation and portfolio monitoringAd hoc responsibilities and analysis as neededBachelor’s degree in accounting with exceptional academic performance0-2 years of accounting experience; fund accounting (venture capital or private equity) experience preferredSuperior organization and attention to detailCPA or progress toward designation preferredProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and WordInvestran experience preferredHigh ethical standardsThe ability to effectively multi-task, manage deadlines, learn quickly and communicate clearlyThis position offers a comprehensive benefits package and compelling compensation including base salary & bonus.
