The Role:

Mirai is seeking a highly creative

SVP, Head of BD Strategy and Operations

to join our team. You will partner with scientific and business leaders across the company to drive corporate strategy, business model innovation, pipeline strategy and strategic partnerships. The successful candidate will be deeply collaborative, an outstanding communicator, and will thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate to drive and continuously evolve a cohesive and comprehensive strategy across partnerships, platform, and development for maximizing value creation.

Work in collaboration with technical and Flagship teams to drive evaluation of strategic partnerships and opportunities to leverage our platform.

Collaborate with leadership to evaluate and implement business model innovations across value pool and target opportunities, ultimately uncovering paths for maximum value creation.

Contribute to the development of the company's overall alliance strategy, working closely with the leadership team to identify and prioritize partnership opportunities.

Work with legal and business development teams to negotiate and finalize complex alliance agreements, ensuring alignment with company objectives and compliance with relevant regulations.

Navigate the complex landscape of financing; establish and maintain relationships with banks, specialty lenders, government agencies, and other funding partners to ensure a steady flow of funding opportunities.

Develop and execute a comprehensive PR strategy to increase company visibility and enhance its corporate image.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as the marketing and communications teams, to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging and branding.

Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies, providing strategic insights.

Preferred Qualifications:

15+ years industry experience with at least 10+ years in Business Development or Finance.

Advanced degree in a quantitative/scientific field (MBA, Masters, or PhD) preferred.

B.A. or B.S. degree (or equivalent) in life science or other relevant field.

Skills:

Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and strategic corporate initiatives.

Ability to meld science, market insights, and competitive intelligence into compelling, value-creating strategies.

Strong project management skills, ability to ensure effective/efficient decision-making and issue resolution competencies.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to multitask and perform under pressure to meet challenging deadlines.

Ability to synthesize and present to senior executives, including Board, a complex set of facts (i.e. scientific, clinical, financial, and market information) to facilitate the decision-making process.

Outstanding presentation and communication skills.
