The position will be based in Pleasanton CA or one of our main regional offices Boise, Idaho, Seattle, WA, Dallas TX, or Phoenix, AZ.Main ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Data mining related to specific initiatives and projects as requested by the Strategic Sourcing DepartmentProvide analysis including cost input, major drivers and logistic impactsSupport Sourcing Manager and Sr. Sourcing Manager as needed with their categoriesGather bid data and analyze complex supplier proposals and make award recommendations to the sourcing management and key stakeholdersSummarize financials and present recommendations to business unit and senior managementDevelop and manage supplier relationships with primary responsibility for bringing resolution to day-to-day issues related to pricing, and ongoing projects, issues and concerns.Initiate, manage, and execute sourcing projects that deliver improved quality, cost, service, and innovationBuild and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the businessResponsible for building efficient financial models that support competitive negotiating eventsAbility to challenge financial assumptions when neededInterface with various business units on projects and support the development of strategies to create a competitive negotiation environmentEnsure that processes are being followed and adhered to for SOX complianceSupport Albertsons personnel to resolve vendor invoice price discrepancy, product delays and/or shortages with incumbent supplierProject support as required for the departmentWillingness to travel as requested to attend various offsite meetings including Albertsons offices or plants, and supplier plants or officesAbility to manage minor categories as defined by the Sr. Sourcing ManagerResponsible for reviewing contracts to ensure accuracy as well as to reduce liabilities and exposureA copy of the full job description can be made available to you.The salary range is $80,100.00 to $104,160.00 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay (accrued based on hours worked), PTO/Vacation Pay (accrued based on hours worked) or Flexible Time Off, paid holidays (8-9 days annually), bereavement pay, and retirement benefits (such as 401(k) eligibility).
