Come join our team of staff in making a difference in the lives of children in your community. The Joplin Family YMCA’s School-Age Services Department is seeking self-motivated, good decision-making, positive role models to work with elementary school children in our after school program.
Purpose:
The School Site Director is responsible for delivery of School After School programming in accordance with the guidelines, philosophy and purpose of the school district served and the requirements of state licensing. The incumbent is responsible for duties including, but not limited to planning, organizing and implementing weekly program schedules; carrying out duties related to the after school snack program; and attendance and record keeping. Incumbent will work on-site at local elementary schools as a representative of the YMCA to parents, teachers and principals.
Qualifications:
Minimum education requirement: college junior with 60 credit hours, with at least 12 hours in child-related courses. Must be 18 years old. Must pass a background check.
After School Program hours of operation: 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Minimum required total work hours per week: 9 hours. Max hours per week: 18.30.
Certifications (preferred):
CPR/First Aid
Computer Skills:
Microsoft Office
Physical Demands:
Standing, walking, sitting, lifting 20 lbs. or less, squatting or kneeling, bending, and reaching.
Wage per hour:
$16.00 to $17.00 (based on candidate's experience, number of children enrolled at work/school location, and state approval.)
