Ele's Place is seeking a fundraising & branch director for their Ann Arbor location whose primary focus is fund development and community outreach awareness. The director is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all fundraising for the branch. This includes but is not limited to major gifts, annual funds, planned giving, special events, and capital campaigns. The director is also responsible for the administrative and development staff located within the branch.Essential Job Functions:Oversee and execute the performance of the established fundraising strategy for the branch.

Strategically develop the annual fundraising goals for the branch in conjunction with Ele’s Place Headquarters staff.Develop the annual branch fundraising and expense budget, monitoring financials and expenses throughout the year to effectively meet fundraising goals.Strategically cultivate relationships with donors and prospective donors in anticipation of soliciting major gifts.Engage the community board and others in prospecting, relationship strategy development, solicitation process, and donor stewardship.Assign potential and existing donor relationships to various development staff.Coordinates with Ele’s Place Headquarters (EPHQ) staff regarding donors (or prospects) shared by multiple locations.

Build and maintain excellent personal and organizational reputations in the community.

Serve as the primary spokesperson and ambassador for the branch while promoting broad public awareness to enhance support and participation in the organization. Participate in interviews with media as needed.Identify and cultivate potential Community Board members.Work effectively with Community Board members, engaging them in community networking, outreach, and fundraising efforts.

Regularly communicate with the program director to co-lead the branch effectively.

Work cooperatively to develop messaging for community outreach that represents the interests of the development group and maintains the integrity of the Ele’s Place Program Model.Work cooperatively to develop and implement the branch’s operational plan.Work cooperatively to facilitate and coordinate regular “All Staff” meetings.

Provide general supervision and strategic leadership to the administrative and development staff of the branch.Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, post-graduate experience preferred. Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation is a bonus.Experience Requirements:

Minimum of five years of experience working in fundraising and development for a nonprofit organization, particularly with major gift development. Experience in developing constituent relationships, and working with and inspiring volunteers.
