Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.Job Responsibilities:As part of a small, hard-working, and accomplished team of experts, you will be integral in the development, qualification, and production of battery power distribution products in support of the New Glenn mission. Your primary technical responsibility is for the electrical design of the power distribution unit, system integration with other multi-functional teams. You will also be responsible for component and subsystem level validation as well as introducing the design to volume production.We are looking for someone to apply their deep technical expertise, natural leadership and interpersonal skills, and dedication to quality to positively impact the aggressive missions at Blue Origin. Passion for our mission and vision is required!Minimum Qualifications:Undergraduate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering or related field5+ years of direct experience in battery and/or power distribution development, 3+ years in space applications desiredDirect experience with Battery Design, Test, and Manufacturing3 years of experience with high voltage systems design and/or testingExperience specifying and justifying margins and test sequences for high power systemsDesire to work hands-on, both independently and as part of a team, throughout the development and production phases of the mechanical assembly product lifecycleAbility to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusionHighly organized teammate with excellent technical interpersonal skills (written and verbal)Ability to travel to and work at remote sites supporting test integration, commissioning, and trainingMust be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylumPreferred Qualifications:Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering or related fieldExperience in development of launch vehiclesExperience with human spaceflight or high-performance aircraft systemsExperience across multiple portions of the product life cycleExperience with Primavera (P6), DOORS, CREO, WindchillCompensation Range:WA applicants is $128,430.00-$179,802.00.
