Position Summary:

The Head of Sales will be responsible for leading and managing the sales organization to achieve revenue goals, increase market share, and drive the growth of our direct lending business. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the lending industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving sales performance in a highly competitive market.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy Development:

Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the company’s growth objectives.

Identify new market opportunities and emerging trends in the direct lending industry to drive business expansion.

Collaborate with the executive team to set revenue targets and sales goals.

Team Leadership & Management:

Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team to achieve individual and team sales targets.

Establish clear performance expectations, provide ongoing coaching, and conduct regular performance reviews.

Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the sales team.

Business Development:

Identify and pursue strategic partnerships and alliances that enhance the company’s market position.

Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, industry influencers, and stakeholders.

Oversee the negotiation and closing of major deals and contracts.

Sales Operations:

Optimize sales processes, tools, and technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Monitor sales metrics and KPIs to track progress and identify areas for improvement.

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.

Market Analysis & Competitive Intelligence:

Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.

Utilize market intelligence to inform product development, pricing strategies, and marketing campaigns.

Regularly report on market conditions and sales performance to the executive team.

Financial Management:

Develop and manage the sales department’s budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources.

Analyze sales data to forecast revenue and profitability, and make informed business decisions.

Work closely with the finance department to align sales strategies with financial goals.

Client Relationship Management:

Ensure a high level of client satisfaction by delivering exceptional service and support.

Address client concerns and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.

Leverage CRM tools to manage client relationships and track sales activities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).

Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the lending or financial services industry.

Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.

In-depth knowledge of the direct lending industry, including products, services, and regulatory requirements.

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans.

Experience with CRM software and sales analytics tools.

Excellent negotiation and closing skills.

High level of financial acumen and business insight.

$60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
