Sr/Staff Software Engineer, BE|ML
with a focus not only in back-end web application development but also has experience with Machine Learning to join our growing AI focused healthcare startup!The ideal background will have somewhere around a 70/30 split between BE services engineering and product experience assisting in developing infrastructure of ML/AI platform and/or tools. Data modeling experience will also be beneficial as this hire will partner closely with our Tech Lead - ML Platform.Our engineering team is composed of the best and brightest software developers and data engineers. They are responsible for writing code that has a significant impact on our customers and future product lines. Our teams are collaborative, high-performing, curious, aligned to our product goals, and impactful towards the success of the business. There's a strong focus on leveraging NLP/LLM techniques for our healthcare applications. We build highly performant ML and AI products that are transforming the landscape of healthcare.What you’ll do:
Contribute to the underlying ML platform to ensure it is extensible, scalable, and secureBuild data platforms that are extensible, scalable, and secureRecognize and prioritize between customer deliverables & tech debt to develop a sustainable software suite of products.Enjoy designing and architecting complex frameworks for applying ML techniques to large data volumes and simplifying labor-intensive processesDeliver resilient enterprise software solutionsWhat you’ll bring:
Extensive experience in the field of application programmingML background - production experience assisting in the build of ML/AI infrastructure or toolsStrong working experience with JavaWorking experience writing SQL queries.Python, Scala, C++, C# is a plusStrong CS foundation (data structures, asynchronous programming)Strong test writing disciplineExperience with reading and understanding complex enterprise-grade code and quickly contributing to it, and suggesting improvements.Critical thinking and problem solving skills working in a high growth environmentComfortable with ambiguity and taking the initiative when requiredBS or MS in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)What we offer:
