ABOUT THE POSITION:Insite Performance LLC is seeking a Senior Manager of Business Development to join the North America Team. The Senior Manager of Business Development will be responsible for developing and managing client relationships, representing established and introducing new Insite products. This position will play a crucial role in creating and strengthening long-term client relationships.

The ideal candidate will have an established network within the New England footwear community, 10+ years of B2B sales/account management experience, and be passionate about footwear that seeks sustainability while not sacrificing performance.

This position will be based in the Boston, MA area and includes a requirement to visit client sites and tradeshows throughout the northeast region. In addition to domestic travel, international travel to Asia on a limited basis may be required.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities for the Senior Manager of Business Development include, but are not limited to:

Collaborate and communicate with the regional sales teams in the US, Europe, and Asia, and work closely with the Product and Marketing teams to support account needs.

Manage account relationships from initial pitch to production order.

Maintain client information in CRM, including regular scheduled contact report submissions.

Work closely with demand planners and the business development team to support product forecasting monthly and seasonally.

Develop a thorough understanding of the marketplace (competitor information, consumer needs, current/future market opportunities, etc.).

Collaborate with other Business Development leads, Product, Marketing, and Operations team members to develop aligned goals that ensure no conflict of interests between departments.

Attend trade shows when necessary, which may include regional, national, and/or international travel.

Work with a supervisor to establish clear goals and objectives that align with department and organizational goals.

Qualifications

Footwear and/or footwear materials experience required.

10+ years of B2B sales or customer account management experience required.

Fluent in English required; multi-lingual a plus but not required.

Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Able to pursue long-term goals and balance those against short and intermediate-term needs.

Able to champion new ideas, manage change, and execute on action plans.

Prior experience managing multiple competing projects.

Strong written and oral communication skills; able to communicate at both management and senior/executive leadership levels to convey a compelling story around product launches.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Applications and CRM Software.

Professional approach in handling confidential and sensitive business and/or customer issues.

Ability to manage priorities and workflow.

Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.

Located in Boston or surrounding area, capable of visiting customers in Boston and throughout the Eastern US region.

Some Asia travel.

Extensive network of contacts in the New England footwear community.

Frequent sitting and use of computer equipment.

Occasional standing and walking; lifting/carrying up to 30 lbs.
