This position will play a key role on our Social Impact & Sustainability team, focusing on communications strategy, planning, advisory services, stakeholder engagement, outreach and new business development, with clients spanning sectors such as wellness, financial services and consumer goods.Responsibilities:

Contribute to multiple projects simultaneously working in close collaboration with colleagues and using organizational skillsProvide client service administration support; attend meetings, handle scheduling, logistics, notes and follow up actionsManage workload to meet deadlines and keep senior project leaders apprised of statusIdentify and work with media; research, compile and analyze client media coverageMaintain an up-to-date understanding of sustainability and social impact trends and share knowledge with othersProduce high-quality internal and external communications contentContribute to the creation of communications plans that meet client objectivesSupport research and analysis to provide insight into business opportunities and sustainable impactBuild relationships with clients and colleagues at all levelsParticipate in new business efforts including research, proposal and pitch preparationCommit to continuous learning through Edelman Learning Institute and other training opportunitiesDemonstrate behaviors consistent with Edelman’s values (Quality, Integrity, Respect, Entrepreneurial Spirit, Mutual Benefits) and Code of Ethics and Business ConductBasic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experiencePreferred Qualifications:

At least 0-6 months’ internship experience in Communications and/or related fieldsStrong work ethic and solid time management skills to balance workload across account teamsCollaborative, curious, knowledgeable about social impact and sustainability topics, and able to deliver quality work to deadlineStrong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills along with exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approachEquivalent experience, including communications, social impact or sustainability course work or other demonstrated experience, proficiency with Microsoft Office, excellent organization skills, and the ability to adapt to changeSalary: $40,000 - $50,000 a yearAn employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees.
