The YMCA of Greater New York Association Office is seeking a Payroll Analyst who, under the direction of the Payroll Manager, will be responsible for all aspects of the bi-weekly payroll processing, reporting, and analysis. They will ensure that all employees are paid bi-weekly and that all payroll adjustments, stipends, and pay methods are entered timely and accurately. The Payroll Analyst will also ensure that the ADP garnishment processes are completed and reconciled with the bi-weekly payroll. They will ensure that the direct deposit file is transmitted to JPMorgan Chase Bank, and that payroll funding, tax liabilities, and garnishment wire payments are processed accurately by their deadlines. They will also assist with all quarterly and year-end system processes and required report filings. In addition, the Payroll Analyst will serve as the liaison for branch and AO staff for all payroll-related inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:Responsible for the bi-weekly payroll processing. Enters all payroll adjustments, stipends, and pay methods.Completes ADP garnishment processes. Reconciles and completes an analysis of payroll to KBX and ADP reports as required.Along with the supervisor, responsible for all quarterly and year-end system processes and reporting requirements.Handles/coordinates preparation of internal and external audits.Leads staff training sessions and presentations.Work closely with branches and AO staff to ensure all needs are met.Other assignments as required.Desired Skills & Experience:Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent work experience.Two (2) to Five (5) years of experience in a related field is required. A minimum of Two (2) years of Payroll experience is preferred.Knowledge of accounting and Microsoft Office Applications.Advanced knowledge of Excel (formulas, pivot tables, etc.).Experience working with Oracle and Workday, as well as Payroll Tax Reporting experience, is preferred.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Benefits:The YMCA of Greater New York offers a variety of benefits to its staff members, including retirement benefits, medical, paid time off, free YMCA membership, and more!
