Responsibilities:A Center for Positive ChangeColumbus Behavioral Center for Children and Adolescents provides mental health services to males and females ages 8 to 18. Located in the greater Columbus, Indiana area, our 56-bed facility provides support to each child and teen that walks through the doors. We work with the resident, their family, and community partners to promote a smooth transition back into the home or, if necessary, an additional appropriate level of care.

The trained professionals at our center provide safe and individualized treatment goals for each patient. Our Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) increases the development of behavioral skills that can help patients build relationships, manage emotions, and cope more effectively with various life problems. In addition, our residential treatment program offers a balance of therapy, education, and fun activities in a safe, structured setting.

We focus on the needs and safety of our patients with 24-hour licensed staff supervision, which includes registered nurses.

The National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention (Action Alliance), a public-private partnership, has partnered with Columbus Behavioral Center for Children and Adolescents, to strengthen the country’s clinical capacity to provide innovative suicide prevention and care.

About the role:

The Human Resources Director is responsible for providing human resources support for the facility, which includes recruiting for vacant positions, conducting general employee orientations, maintaining all personnel records and files, providing guidance and support to supervisors with respect to employee performance management, conducting employee benefit open enrollment meetings, responding to insurance and unemployment compensation correspondence, and employment verifications. Exempt level position.

Qualifications:Education:

Business Degree with Major in Human Resources Management or related field is required as deemed appropriate by the CEO. Current PHR certification is highly preferred.

Experience:

A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Human Resources. A minimum of two years’ experience working in Human Resources within a health care setting, highly preferred. Must have previous Supervisory or Direct-Level experience.

Additional Requirements:

Prefer candidates with good understanding of HR related Joint Commission Standards and be familiar with the Joint Commission Survey process. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must have experience working with advanced tracking systems (ATS). Good computer knowledge in Word/Excel and ability to prepare HR reports.

Hours of Work:

9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; other times as indicated by immediate supervisor.
