JOB OVERVIEW: The Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing and enhancing the financial planning processes of the organization. This position is pivotal in driving comprehensive financial reporting, supporting operational analysis, performing advanced modeling for resource allocation, and developing detailed budgets and forecasts. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, advanced analytical capabilities, and a deep understanding of financial management to support the company’s growth and strategic objectives.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or relevant certification is highly desirable.

7-10 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or director-level role.

Experience within a corporate or multi-unit finance environment.

Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial software, and ERP systems; experience with financial planning tools is a plus. Key applications include Netsuite Accounting/ERP, Cube Software FP&A and reporting SAAS, Power BI data visualization, Payroll reporting through UKG and Excel models for inventory planning, and projection development.

Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, variance analysis, and advanced budgeting and forecasting techniques.

Proven leadership abilities with experience managing teams and driving financial strategy across multiple business units.

Strong analytical skills with the capacity to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.

Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to executive leadership and other stakeholders. Ability to develop cohesive presentations in PowerPoint along with detailed Excel models to back up presentations.

Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of delivering results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Ability to stay focused while working independently and remotely.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting:

Leadership in Financial Reporting and Variance Analysis.

Oversee the preparation and presentation of detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis against historical data, budgets, and forecasts.

Develop and implement a structured reporting framework to ensure consistent, accurate, and timely financial reporting.

Lead the analysis of financial performance, identifying trends, variances, and key drivers, and provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations to senior management.

Manage the development of financial dashboards and performance metrics to support high-level decision-making and strategic planning.

Analysis Strategic Support for Operational team and Business Condition Analysis:

Partner with the operations team to analyze and interpret business conditions, operational performance, and efficiency metrics.

Drive the development of financial models and tools to assess the impact of operational changes and support strategic business initiatives.

Provide strategic guidance and recommendations based on financial data to optimize operational effectiveness and support business growth.

Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to align financial insights with operational strategies and objectives.

Modeling for Scarce Resource Allocation:

Lead the development and maintenance of sophisticated financial models for resource allocation, including capital investments, workforce planning, and inventory management.

Conduct in-depth scenario analysis to evaluate the financial implications of various resource allocation strategies and support strategic decision-making.

Collaborate with senior leadership to assess trade-offs, prioritize investments, and align resource allocation with the company’s strategic goals.

Develop methodologies for optimizing the use of scarce resources to maximize financial performance and operational efficiency.

Planning:

Comprehensive Budgeting and Forecasting.

Direct the creation and refinement of detailed budgets and financial forecasts that align with the company’s strategic objectives and long-term financial goals.

Implement and manage a robust budgeting process, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with business strategies.

Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing regular updates and recommendations for adjustments as necessary.

Engage with various departments to gather input, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure that budgeting and forecasting processes are integrated with overall business planning.

Examples of key deliverables:

Compensation calculation and oversight of bi-monthly compensation for variable pay plans with reporting to both HR and individual participants.

Monthly reporting cycle: A detailed location level monthly reporting package with clinic level profits, balance sheet and cash flow along with historical performance comparisons.

Budgets and Forecasts: Annual budget, quarterly forecasts and monthly cash flow projections incorporating financial objectives distributed across the organizational pursuant to executive team financial targets.

Inventory planning and execution: develop operational plans to acquire and manage inventory to obtain sales goals while balancing asset allocation and cash from operation objectives utilizing Excel models and RFID based inventory tracking system.

OTHER DETAILS, COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

This position is remote, but includes travel to our locations in Utah, Colorado, Illinois and Florida.

This is a salary, exempt position.

Must be able to often stand, lift, and handle heavy objects.

Salary range of $100,000-$140,000 + Bonus
