CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:As a Community Engagement Director, you will have expertise on external issue management and navigating the communities in which we operate. You will provide strategic direction to develop and execute a strategy that identifies partner organizations and key third-party organizations to understand community needs to build relationships and collaborate on impactful outcomes. You will lead the identification and deployment of programs designed to have sustaining and lasting impacts in the communities in which we live and work around the globe, across the US, including key localities such as Northeast Ohio and Cleveland. In this role, you will represent as the Director of The Sherwin-Williams Foundation.This position is responsible for effective leadership in the successful development and operational implementation of the Company's community engagement strategy based on our key pillars of a commitment to supporting access to safe and healthy housing; advancing a skilled workforce; and preserving assets around the world. The Director shall integrate the strategy by aligning community engagement goals (creating good will among community stakeholders, coordination of cause-related fundraising events, and raising leadership-level dollars in community-wide fundraising efforts) with business objectives (employee engagement, creating good will with shareholders, employees, potential employees, customers and potential customers).The Director will collaborate with both executive leadership and Divisional leadership in both the creation and execution of a strategy that is consistent with the values, culture, and operational goals of the Company, while supporting local leadership in effective execution at the community level.The Director will lead relationship management with key stakeholders in the many communities in which we live and work, including our partner organizations.The Director will lead a team of two to execute the community engagement strategy.TasksDeveloping and implementing a community engagement strategy:

Creating and implementing a comprehensive community engagement strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and mission.

Building and maintaining relationships:

Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including community members, and other third-party organizations.Manage relationships with grantees and potential grantees, track and evaluate community investments.

Coordinating community outreach efforts:

Coordinating and overseeing community outreach efforts, including events, volunteer programs, and other initiatives.Coordinate with HR teams to support efforts to educate employees on Company programs (i.e. Matching Gifts) and engagement opportunities.Lead development and execution of effective community engagement strategies that enhance the Company's reputation and drive business value.Design and manage execution of "in community" signature events and programs.

Representing the organization:

A key representative for the organization, including representing the organization at community events and meetings.Work to identify S-W participation in community engagement events.

Gathering and analyzing community feedback:

Gathering and analyzing feedback from the community to inform the organization's decision and strategies.Capture data to demonstrate community engagements quantified and qualified impact on the Company, employees and communities and then communicate the impact of in community programs internally and externally to maintain visibility of Company's global commitment to community.

Collaborating with other departments:

Work closely with other departments, such as marketing, communications, tax, government affairs, human resources etc., to ensure that community engagement efforts are integrated and aligned with the organization's overall goals.Coordinate with government affairs teams to proactively identify opportunities to address internal and external issues that pose reputational risks to S-W and business objectives.

Developing and managing budgets:

Developing and managing budgets for community engagement department and initiatives.Build and manage budget for event sponsorships, with regular reports to leadership.

Provide leadership in day-to-day management of S-W Foundation:

Provide recommendations to the Foundation's Directors for community investments.Effectively manage trust, leveraging market performance and available cash-flow management and tax maintenance tools.

Provide leadership to build and manage community engagement team:

Determine and manage people resources and financial resources for programs.

Support senior management's engagement with non-profit organizations:

Including training and on-boarding for non-profit board service.
