3- or 4-day workweek - 8 AM to 5 PM - outpatient consults and follow-ups - care center is open Mon-FriExamine, diagnose, and coordinate treatment plans for patients with acute illnesses and exacerbations of chronic disease (under the supervision of physicians)Order, interpret, and make diagnoses of lab tests and imaging scansRecord progress notes, instruct and counsel patients, and modify treatment plans as neededWrite/refill prescriptions appropriate for diagnosisReview patient results, including pathologyDocument patient information in eClinicalWorks in a timely mannerOther duties related to the specialty of gastroenterology as assignedCandidate requirements
Active NP or PA license in the state of VirginiaCertification as an NP or PA with prescriptive authority1+ years of GI experience preferredInternal medicine experience preferredNew grads welcomeAbility to build strong working relationships with the healthcare teamDemonstrate integrity, adaptability, and the desire to make a positive impact in the lives of our patients and teammates
