The Opportunity:The Director of Performance and Organizational Development will design and implement training programs to enhance employees' knowledge and growth, driving the organization to its full potential. This role requires a passion for maximizing the employee experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with business leaders to strategize and develop Learning and Development plans for each department.Additionally, you will deliver best-in-class scalable talent lifecycle processes and programs in the areas of performance management, competency development, goal setting, career paths, talent calibration, career development and talent planning.This position will have direct supervisory responsibilities, in addition to serving as an advisor, coach and mentor for people leaders and employees across the organization.In This Role You Will:
Organizational DevelopmentCollaborates and works closely with Human Resources and people leaders to continuously improve (and build) outstanding talent programs that drive measurable results as well as career growth and retention.Implement a variety of learning methods companywide (coaching, job-shadowing, online training, role-based, leadership and structured LMS training).Lead the process of diagnosing, collecting data, and analyzing information to design and deploy leadership and organizational development initiatives targeting entry-level and mid-level people leaders.Provide communication, webinars, and ongoing support to the organization for all Organizational Development programs and initiatives.Creates and manage pulse and engagement surveys that drive participation and impact.Lead and manage the organizational employee journey, including the scheduled employee check-ins and the buddy program.Participate in the planning and execution of employee engagement programs to enhance workplace satisfaction.Refresh employee onboarding and offboarding programs to achieve the most positive impact.Assist with DEI training and programming as needed.Performance ManagementLeads the design, development and communication of the company-wide performance management cycle including the annual performance review, quarterly check-ins and calibration processes.Collaborate with people leaders to ensure effective goal-setting and performance evaluations.Oversees the development and communication of tools and resources to support team members, people leaders and HRBPs in the delivery of the performance management process.Proactively identifies activities regarding the ongoing design and enhancement of current performance management framework to ensure it effectively meets the changing needs of the business from a process and data perspective.Professional DevelopmentProvide executive coaching and guidance to the senior leadership team on a regular basis.Champions a culture of learning and development and assists with Career Development programs and initiatives, leading development efforts for individual contributors.Assess the success of professional development plans and help employees make the most of learning opportunities.Assist leaders in developing their team members through clear career pathing in each area of the organization.Other duties may be assigned on as needed basis.The Experience You Will Bring:
Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Development, Organizational Psychology, or related field. Master’s degree strongly preferred.10+ years’ experience leading talent management, organizational development, leadership development etc. where responsibilities included performance management, succession planning, coaching and career pathing in a corporate, professional sports, media, or entertainment structure.International Coaching Federation (ACC, PCC, MCC) or Certified Professional Coach (CPC) credential strongly preferred.Experience with performance management design, tracking, reporting and support.Strong functional talent expertise, specifically talent management, succession planning and performance management.Experience effectively analyzing talent data to glean valuable organizational and people insights.Be a proven change agent to accelerate organizational change initiatives.Project management, risk assessment and resource management, with proven ability to connect performance and organizational development initiatives to business strategy.Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment and organize complex information.Ability to identify and work through problems and conflicting issues in a clear and diplomatic manner.Skilled communicator who has delivered trainings to all levels, using different modes of delivery.Ability to build rapport with employees, leaders, and vendors.Skills Needed to be Successful:
