This full-time, non-tenure track, nine-month appointment presents an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students through both teaching and service, with potential for additional summer responsibilities. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a passion for preparing students for successful careers in sales and a commitment to contributing to a thriving academic community.Key Responsibilities:Teach courses essential to the Sales concentration, including
Professional Selling
at the undergraduate level.Manage the
Professional Selling Student Ambassador Program , providing inspiration and mentorship to future sales professionals.Prepare students for external sales competitions, such as the
National Collegiate Sales Competition (NCSC) .Collaborate with the Director of the Center for Professional Sales to coordinate signature events, including
Interview Express , a prominent corporate partner event.Support the Center’s ongoing activities, working closely with the Director, Assistant Director, and other faculty to ensure the program’s continued growth and success.Perform other duties as assigned.The

University Sales Center Alliance (USCA) , was recently recognized as the
Best Sales Program Worldwide
by the USCA. Designed to host the Department of Marketing’s Sales Concentration, the Center maintains a robust student enrollment and plays a crucial role in preparing students for successful careers in sales.This position provides a unique opportunity to contribute to an award-winning program while benefiting from strong support within a collaborative and innovative environment, shaping the future of sales education. This position is subject to the availability of funds.Required Qualifications:Graduate or doctoral degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field from an AACSB accredited business school.Significant and recent work experience in sales (industry experience or university teaching experience).Evidence of sustained professional engagement with sales practitioners in organizations across different industries.Experience with mentoring and/or coaching (industry experience or university experience).Experience with leading or managing a professional work unit or organization.Interest in teaching undergraduate sales courses.Preferred Qualifications:University-level teaching experience.Documentation of teaching performance and/or ratings of instruction.Experience in curriculum development, including embedding technology into sales classes.Ability to effectively interact with corporate executives in multiple industry sectors.Ability and enthusiasm to manage timely delivery of information to internal and external constituencies.Prior experience teaching sales courses.Only applications submitted for this specific posting through the Texas State University website will be accepted and considered.
