Job Description:

The Director of Marketing is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the organization's marketing strategies to promote its brand, products, and services. This role leads the marketing team, aligns marketing initiatives with business goals, and drives growth through innovative and data-driven marketing approaches.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with company goals

Lead the creation of annual and long-term marketing plans

Collaborate with executive leadership to shape the company's vision and direction

Team Management:

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing team

Recruit, train, and retain top marketing talent

Set clear objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) for team members

Brand Management:

Oversee and evolve the company's brand strategy and identity

Ensure consistent brand messaging across all channels and touchpoints

Monitor and protect the company's reputation

Marketing Campaigns:

Plan, develop, and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns

Oversee content creation, including advertising, promotional materials, and digital content

Manage the marketing budget and allocate resources effectively

Digital Marketing:

Lead digital marketing initiatives, including SEO, email marketing, paid advertising, and social media

Oversee the company's website communication and language to the customer

Ability to strategize and execute with digital agency partners

Implement influencer marketing initiatives to expand brand reach and credibility

Strategic Partner Management:

Create and oversee customer segmentation strategies to enable targeted marketing campaigns

Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute account-based marketing (ABM) strategies for key accounts

Develop and manage a partner marketing program to leverage channel partnerships for mutual growth

Traditional Marketing:

Develop and execute traditional marketing strategies, including print, press releases, podcasts, and other advertising

Plan and oversee the company's participation in trade shows and industry events

Integrate traditional marketing efforts with digital strategies for a cohesive marketing approach

Marketing Budget Management:

Develop and propose the annual marketing budget aligned with company goals and growth targets

Allocate budget resources across various marketing channels and initiatives based on strategic priorities

Analyze return on investment (ROI) for different marketing activities to inform future budget decisions

Communication and Team Collaboration:

Foster strong relationships with leaders across all departments to align marketing efforts with overall business objectives

Establish and maintain clear communication channels between the marketing team and other departments

Skills and Abilities:

Proven ability to manage and lead a team

Ability to craft and articulate a compelling, forward-thinking vision

Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and presentation abilities

Experience with marketing technologies and data analysis tools

Strategic thinker with the ability to execute tactically

Education & Experience:

Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 7+ years of marketing experience in eCommerce or similar industry.

Location:

This is an in-office position based in El Cajon, CA.

Travel:

Up to ~ 15%
