A key member of the CFO's leadership team, with primary and global responsibility for managing the Company's technical accounting related matters, including revenue recognition, mergers and acquisitions, internal controls and other new accounting related matters.Ensure externally reported financial statements and disclosures are prepared in compliance with US GAAP, SEC regulations, and Company policies.Influence global finance teams to provide guidance on accounting and financial reporting matters in a complex and matrix environment.Responsible for overall technical accounting consultations regarding complex accounting transactions and performing research on new accounting issues.Guide internal controls, consolidation and SEC reporting teams.Lead, drive, and manage a high-performing global Corporate Accounting team and actively develop finance talent.Global responsibility for accounting and related matters for legal entity mergers, divestitures, acquisitions.Maintain thorough and current understanding of US GAAP and emerging accounting, reporting and disclosure standards.Oversight of internal controls program to ensure effectively designed and operating internal controls over financial reporting.Oversee revenue recognition group and initiate process changes to improve the accuracy of revenue recognition.Take a global leadership role in Finance cross functional projects such as post-acquisition integration, tax planning actions, capital/financing initiatives, and financial communications initiatives.Collaborate and manage effectively across the company's functional organizations.Serve as a visible and effective ambassador for the CFO.Management responsibilities including professional development, performance appraisals, and employee counseling.Work closely with various business groups to ensure the quality, accuracy and consistency of the financial data reported.Monitor and address accounting, close, and reporting practices to optimize process and technology enablers.Coordinate with external auditors to provide relevant audit support documentation.Oversee Bruker's chart of accounts including reporting hierarchies.Guide the alignment, communication, and maintenance of a clear closing process.Assist in the SEC reporting process.Perform other duties as required.Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance required. Master Degree preferred. CPA with 5-10 years Big 4 work experience preferred.Minimum 10 years recent and relevant Finance leadership work experience within a public global life sciences, medical devices, or biotech work environment.Proven ability to work closely and effectively with business leaders on accounting policies, technical accounting, M&A, and related topics.Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with colleagues on initiatives, vision, strategy, and goals.Excellent oral, written, computer, technical, quantitative, and proposal communication and presentation skills.Advanced proficiency with MS Office and SAP. BPC knowledge preferred.Proven ability to proactively manage the external auditor relationship.Attracts, retains and develops highly qualified finance talent.Viewed as a trusted advisor, partner, and change agent by other executives.Demonstrates executive presence with capability of representing the CFO and leadership team in high-visibility settings.Strong and proven leadership skills, including driving high performance.Proven ability to effectively organize resources and orchestrate multiple activities.Focuses on continuous process improvement.Proactively builds and maintains a productive cross-functional, global network.Effective at driving change and managing teams to achieve desired results.Strong understanding of major drivers of Bruker's business environment.Ability to research and evaluate complex accounting transactions.Expert knowledge of US GAAP accounting regulations and company accounting policies.Advanced business acumen and analytical capabilities with excellent judgment.Demonstrates sound judgment on highly complex topics.Possesses the behavioral attributes such as teamwork, customer-orientation, and results orientation.A very high standard of ethics, communication, and personal presentation.Ability to maintain valid passport with flexibility for domestic, overnight, and international travel.Valid Driver License in good standing.May be required to pass security clearance investigation.U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.Bruker Corporation offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package including medical, dental, 401(k), paid vacation, holidays, and tuition assistance.Bruker is an equal opportunity employer.
