Monitor , you will be directing and safely supervising students 24 hours a day.Salary Range :

$16-$20/hrWhat You Will Do:Supervise students during daytime and evening hours and notify staff of any symptoms or signs of substance abuse of students and/or drug overdoses.Supervise students’ daily activities and assume supervisory responsibilities in the absence of other staff.Document and monitor regular bed checks as required. Communicate with other monitors regarding daily activities or disturbances.Serve as an advisor and positive role model for students. Prevent and intervene in student altercations and incidents.Conduct and practice emergency evacuation procedures.Assist in maintaining facility grounds and keeping equipment in proper working condition.Responsible for Critical Incidents and incident reporting when they occur during scheduled shifts. Upload clinical supportive documentation (i.e., motivation logs, intentions forms, etc.).Participate in community activities as they relate to the position and attend additional training as needed.Administer First Aid and CPR during emergencies in accordance with state and federal regulations.Perform additional duties as assigned.What You Will Bring:High School Diploma or equivalent.Be at least 21 years of age.First Aid and CPR certification.Knowledge of ethnic and cultural differences within criminal justice populations.Understanding of causes, symptoms, and effects of incarceration; appreciation for the behavioral, psychological, physical, and social effects of incarceration.Solid written and verbal communication skills.Excellent organizational skills.What We Offer:Medical, Dental, Vision.Paid vacation, sick time, & holidays.401K, HSA, & Life insurance programs.An organization committed to community action.Community-oriented workplace.
