Job Summary:The Risk Advisory Services Intern is responsible for partnering with more experienced Risk Advisory Services professionals to provide risk consulting and issues resolution to clients in the areas of internal audit, SOX, business process improvement, information technology, and fraud investigations. In this role, the Risk Advisory Services Intern participates in various stages of an internal audit or consulting engagement and provides assistance with planning, field work, engagement wrap up and report composition.Job Duties:Assists with the informational interviews and facilitation of meetings with clients during engagement processAssists in obtaining information, documents, and data from clients to support the completion of analysis and research of client issuesAssists in documenting and analyzing the client's processes, risk and controls with guidance and direction from Risk Advisory Services professionalsAssists in developing initial deliverables and/or solutions to client issuesUtilizes research tools, databases, and trade publications to develop understanding of client's industryAssists with the research and drafting of proposalsMaintains all documentation and work papers associated with client engagementsOther duties as requiredSupervisory Responsibilities:N/AQualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Education:Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Accounting or Finance, requiredPursuing an MBA or other relevant advanced degree, preferredExperience:Past leadership experience, preferredLicense/Certifications:Actively pursuing school credits to become a CPA, preferredSoftware:Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word, required.Language:N/AOther Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Excellent verbal and written communication skills, specifically business and report writingStrong analytical and basic research skillsSolid organizational skills especially ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on detailsAbility to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environmentProven ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to travel 20% of the timeIndividual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.California Range: $20.00/hr - $39.00/hrColorado Range: $19.00/hr - $30.00/hrNYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $20.00/hr - $36.00/hrWashington Range: $20.00/hr - $39.00/hrWashington DC Range: $30.00/hr - $33.00/hrMaryland Range: $30.00/hr - $33.00/hr
