Job DescriptionAs the Director of Forecasting within Gilead’s Oncology Integrated Insights team, you will be responsible for leading Gilead US Oncology Forecasting. This pivotal role demands both strategic vision and hands-on execution. You will navigate complex cross-functional projects and drive impactful results with stakeholders at every level. This role is a people manager role with currently one direct report requiring you to balance people management with hands-on project work to deliver successful results.This role requires leveraging a broad and deep skill set (functional expertise, therapeutic area knowledge, communication skills, leadership and influencing, executive presence, etc.) to help drive the success of work across a variety of key stakeholders – including business unit, brand and managed markets marketing leads, peer functional leads within Commercial Operations, Finance, Medical, and executive leadership. The role will also shape the Capabilities Hub for the Forecasting function across all business units.Responsibilities:Collaborate with key partners to develop short- and medium-term (0-2 years) demand forecasts, supporting Finance to create a comprehensive revenue forecast.Integrate market dynamics and expertise across functions, analyze primary and secondary data to glean insights and understand their impact on forecasts.Develop robust forecasts, identifying key risks, opportunities, and drivers for executive leadership.Analyze market and competitor landscapes, providing insights for strategic decision-making.Conduct national-level performance reporting and reconciliation with forecasts, track forecast accuracy, and drive ongoing improvements in models and processes.Clearly and concisely present findings and recommendations to senior executives and partners.Design and implement processes to link forecasts to key strategies across Commercial, Marketing, Finance, and Manufacturing.Foster a collaborative team environment that thrives on shared goals and accountability, developing and coaching direct reports and team members.Leadership, Influence and Communication:Leads and mentors direct reports, collaborating with a diverse group of stakeholders.Earns the respect of internal customers by consistently demonstrating a deep understanding of their business needs.Recognized as a subject matter expert, sought after for guidance on decisions impacting business operations.Leads and conducts quarterly functional reviews with key stakeholders.Fosters strong relationships within Account Management, Marketing, and Commercial operations.Expertly navigates organizational intricacies with professionalism and diplomacy.Manages external consulting resources effectively to ensure successful project delivery.Demonstrates strong Gilead core values – Integrity, Excellence, Accountability, Teamwork, and Inclusion.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree and 12 years of experience orMaster's Degree and 10 years of experience orPhD and eight years of experience.Preferred Qualifications:Advanced degrees desirable; Preferred concentrations in healthcare, general management, analytics, and data sciences.Strong commercial analytics and people management experience; advanced analytics experience desirable.Ability to direct key departmental changes through leading and mentoring others.Highly developed skills as a planner with the ability to formulate, develop and execute strategy.Must have highly developed communication skills with an ability to efficiently and productively communicate both orally and in writing.Strong working knowledge of relevant software systems (e.g., MS Excel, Access, MS Word & PowerPoint, Tableau, etc.) is required.People Leader Accountabilities:Create Inclusion - modeling inclusion and embedding the value of diversity in the way they manage their teams.Develop Talent - understand the skills, aspirations, and potential of their employees and coach them on current performance.Empower Teams - connect the team to the organization by aligning goals and providing the support needed to remove barriers.The salary range for this position is: $221,170.00 - $286,220.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
