Audit Senior Manager

A well-established, highly profitable regional CPA firm seeks an Audit Senior Manager to add to their growing staff. The Senior Manager will liaise between the Partner, the client, and the professional staff, managing multiple auditing and accounting projects and client engagements simultaneously, and scheduling, staffing and coordinating engagement workflow. They develop and train staff and make associations to develop new business for the Firm. The Senior Manager has mastered the skills and requirements of the Manager role and has been identified as possessing the prerequisite for future growth in the Firm. Senior Managers play a lead role in maintaining client relationships. Local Big-4 or national firm candidates strongly preferred.Responsibilities:Manage all phases of an audit or review engagement on multiple engagements at one time.Plan, schedule and staff engagements.Anticipate problem areas of engagement and questions that will arise.Keep Partner informed of important developments; analyze problems and recommend solutions.Ensure financial statements, reviews, and letters of recommendation are prepared.Communicate progress of engagements, problems and resolutions to client.Responsible for the development, coaching and training of senior, semi-seniors and staff accountants.Participates in reviews and evaluations of accounting professionals.Qualifications:7-10+ years in public accounting, with proven progression in complexity, scope, and number of engagements managed.3+ years' experience as a manager.Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or master’s degree in accounting.Current and valid CPA license or taking the CPA exam.Compensation commensurate with experience, base salary range up to $200K plus bonus, with excellent benefits.
