As a Chief CT Technologist, you will provide leadership and management to CT services, assuring professional standards and excellent customer service. Operates CT scanner to produce images of the patient’s body for diagnostic purposes. Maintains positive work relationships with radiologists and other physicians referring to the company. This is a full-time position working the 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:(55%) Patient ImagingScreens patients before examination for any precautions or contraindications pertaining to the examinationPerforms routine and advanced CT procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeatsExplains and prepares patients for CT procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scanned and providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedureAdjusts scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriatePromotes and motivates good customer relations with patients, physicians, visitors, and other company personnelConverses with doctors, nurses, patients and family members as requiredFollows physicians’ orders precisely and conforms to safety regulations to protect themselves, their patients, and coworkersProduces diagnostic images in assigned area and performs quality control tasks as assignedAccurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)Ensures compliance with all HIPAA guidelines(25%) Staff SupervisionEnsures comprehensive knowledge of company policies, procedures and protocols for all CT technologistsAssists in staff planning and hiring process along with managementManages overall staffing levels for adequate modality coverage at all timesMonitors and approves timecardsOversees and assists with training of new CT technologists, providing resource and technical expertiseInitiates and participates in staff performance evaluations, compensation and development of associates including performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions and/or termination of associatesLeads regular staff meetings and employee one-on-ones(15%) OperationsMaintains equipment, cleans and disinfects equipment after each use, checks to ensure emergency equipment is in good working orderTakes corrective action for any hazardous conditions or equipment breakdownsEnsures an orderly and clean work area in all modalities to promote good safety habits for patients and teamCoordinates patient relations, ensuring a high quality of patient service is deliveredEnsures compliance with state regulations and internal policies regarding documentation and tracking of safety and licensing-related itemsMaintains an updated CT protocol manual and software upgradesOrders appropriate supplies as necessary following company guidelines on inventory control(5%) Performs other duties as assigned
