This is a remote position in the USA.The Bid Management role at Qualitest combines several disciplines into one role, including Bid Manager, Proposal Manager, Coordinator, Writer, Publisher, Editor, and Graphic Designer, supported by delivery and account management, pricing, and presales teams.The Director of Bid & Proposal Management for the US will be responsible for leading globally-distributed proposal development efforts (e.g., written, cost, oral, demonstrations) and ensuring that the proposal effectively communicates the win strategy and themes, business offer, and solution elements; is fully compliant with solicitation requirements, prepared to high-quality standards, and submitted on time.You will provide support to our sales teams in responding to large and/or strategic opportunities with private or public organizations, often in parallel with several critical proposals that have overlapping timelines.You will provide the team and the Bid Owner with guidance based on your experience of responding to, and winning, other large bids (RFPs and RFIs).You will build, guide, and manage the bid-sprint team through the process of developing a response and be responsible for applying your writing, reviewing, and editing skills to enhance the bid responses making them compelling, convincing, and completely aligned to the customer and their needs, as well as 100% compliant with the response criteria.You will lead and motivate cross-functional proposal teams, run status update sessions, maintain and report on adherence to schedules, identify key resources, coordinate inputs, review activities, perform reviews, manage senior stakeholder reviews and approvals, ensure bid strategy and deal governance implementation, resolve internal team issues, and provide process leadership.Skills and Capabilities:Leadership, organization, and communication skills (oral and written) required. Be able to lay out a set of tasks and manage them through to a defined deadline, applying a defined process but also able to flex it to meet the unique demands of each bid.Ability to think strategically, understand the bigger picture, as well as retain a tight focus on detail. You need the ability and desire to take on new challenges in a rapidly-growing organization, to learn and develop your existing and new skills, and be committed to the team’s success.Skills and Experience in Detail:Experience in delivery of Software Testing / Quality Assurance services, Information Technology services, or related industry sectors.Regularly update and able to apply your interest in technology and understanding of current trends in the B2B space particularly in Testing, Software Quality, Quality Engineering, Digital Engineering, AI Data Services, etc.Background and experience in proposal writing, preferably in the IT services industry, with a track record of ensuring on-time submissions of compliant and commercially-sound bids.Able to develop a clear win strategy for each bid and ensure win themes are clear, compelling, client-focused, and communicated.Experience estimating, monitoring, and reporting on overall performance against KPIs.Ability to create and manage small high-velocity teams, be able to rapidly establish a common goal and drive behaviors.Skilled at working with different personalities to achieve tight deadlines with quality.Manage inputs from key stakeholders, typically engaging with sales, marketing, product teams, finance, commercial, legal, and delivery.Manage, communicate with, and motivate people who are both junior and more senior in the organization for the bid-sprint teams.Analyze, plan and organize yourself and others to very tight schedules, manage risks and milestones, and understand when to escalate.Multitask with multiple projects in flight with different velocities and scope, at different stages and to different deadlines.Think strategically and see the bigger picture, while retaining focus on details -- ensuring accuracy and consistency throughout.Excellent verbal and written communication, with clear and precise business English and an ability to balance marketing, technical, and rhetorical information.Understands how to write persuasively, empathically, and concisely.Visual storytelling: Applies a flair for design and aesthetic appeal, able to express ideas in graphical form as well as written and understand how to use graphics within written content for maximum impact.Provide proactive feedback and ideas on how to make processes and tools more effective, and streamlined, without impacting quality as part of continuous improvement.Advanced MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS SharePoint proficiency.Be flexible in your working hours to support bids for our global teams as needed, including meetings and content creation/refinement to ensure deadlines are met.BenefitsWhy Qualitest?Be a part of a company that strives to support diversity and inclusion in the workplace – we are one, we are many at Qualitest.
