The Opportunity Alliance is seeking a

Program Director

to join the team in our

Project for Assistance in Transition from Homelessness (PATH)

Our PATH program provides outreach to homeless individuals (sleeping outside, in a vehicle, or any place not meant for human habitation) struggling with mental health or substance use, and currently unconnected to resources. The PATH program team provides short-term intensive outreach, engagement, and case management services and connects clients to resources for food, housing, social security, medical care, substance use treatment, and longer-term mental health services.

This

Program Director

role is a management position of a consultative, supervisory, clinical, and technical nature. The Program Director contributes to the accomplishment of the Agency’s mission through the leadership and oversight of the Projects for Assistance in Transition from Homelessness (PATH). This position includes oversight of programming, supervision of staff, and administrative coordination of the PATH.

This position will supervise the Outreach Case Managers and Peer Navigators.

Schedule: Full-time 40 hour/week, salaried position

Location: Office is based in Portland and supporting York County.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in social work or a related field required.

LMSW-CC, LCSW or LCPC required.

1-2 years of work experience at the management level in the content areas of this position preferred.

3-5 years of experience working with adults in a clinical setting.

Strong and diverse clinical knowledge, including fluency in recovery-oriented service, trauma-informed care, Motivational Interviewing, treatment of co-occurring disorders, and the principles of harm reduction required.

Special skill areas: technical literacy, knowledge of DSM-V, excellent oral and written communication, exposure to research and analysis, financial management and demonstrated team effectiveness and consensus building.

Experience working with Outreach services, background in Adult Case Management as well as adult homelessness, mental health issues, substance use, and trauma preferred.

Experience in developing successful relationships with vital work partners preferred.

Demonstrated computer efficiency is a requirement.

Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background, child protective service check & sex offender check.

Must not be on the state or federal suspension and disbarment list.

Normal office conditions such as sitting, with occasional standing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, typing and lifting up to 10 pounds.

Driving may be necessary to attend meetings and trainings and for the occasional need to meet with clients offsite and within the program service area. This may include transportation of clients or driving to agency location to complete work.

$65,000.00 - $74,000.00 per year
