What you’ll do:
Lead and contribute to the system design for our AI/ML-based servicesDevelop, implement, and test prompting strategies for a variety of products over various LLMsAnalyze internal and external feedback and behaviors to continuously improve the quality of prompts and language outputResearch and adopt best practices based on experience, analysis, and input from the broader software team.Develop code that is highly readable, maintainable, and testable including documentation, excellent architecture, and automated testingActively participate in interviewing and evaluating new team membersMentor junior members of the software engineering team in all aspects of software development across multiple projectsPrioritize your work and the work of others with a sense of urgency to ship products in time to have the desired business impact while balancing a quality mindsetReview code, help drive technical excellence through best practices and latest toolsWhat You Have:
Proven track record of success in large enterprise SAAS Software, distributed systems, scalability, data pipelines and continuous developmentBachelor’s degree or equivalent and 6-10 years’ experience OR Master’s degree and 5-7 years’ experienceSenior level skill-set with core programming languages (Python, Java, C#, C/C++, etc.)Experience working with distributed systems, inter-service communication protocols, and APIs (e.g. REST, NSQ, etc.)Experience working with relational databases and SQLExtras you bring to the table:
Experience building front ends for AI productsFoundational knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning tailored to a specific business needExperience with Python or C#Senior level experience working with Large Language Models such as GPT-3/4, ChatGPT, Claude, or CoHereExperience with data quality and validationExperience with AWS Glue and RedshiftExperience with Terraform, Kubernetes, or PrefectExperience in CI/CDExperience with Data Science workflows (Databricks or other similar notebook based tech)Experience querying big data using Spark, Hive, etc.Why join Polly?
