Candidate DescriptionEngineer for application migration / DataCenter exit project with 5-7 years' experience in the Information Technology industry, minimum of 3 years of experience in a network operations role. Experience in Cloud technologies and knowledge of VMWare and virtual technologies. Vendor certifications on one or more core technologies (F5, Illumio, PaloAlto, Arista, Cisco) are preferred but may be compensated by experience.ResponsibilitiesMeet SLA/SLO requirements for response, restore, and notification time.Deploy and update device rule sets to security and network standards to include tools such as firewalls, Web Application Firewalls, F5, ForcePoint, PaloAlto Panorama, Algosec, and Illumio.Help with troubleshooting issues during migration and testing.Ability to find firewall or Illumio agent blocks and remedy.Maintain complete detail of issues in ticketing system.Handle escalations for issues that may occur after migration window.Handle and respond to system generated incidents.Lead backout efforts if migration is unsuccessful during the window.Participate in validation with application teams.Must be flexible to work different shifts on occasion.Qualifying Experience and Attributes5-7 Years' experience in ITWorking knowledge of troubleshooting Cisco, Arista, F5, Illumio, Palo Alto, Algosec and several other Network and Security Platforms.Working experience with Enterprise level ticketing system such as Service Now.Working knowledge of ITIL.Ability to configure and troubleshoot various issues within firewalls and load balancers.Detail oriented and able to work with multiple teams with ability to lead troubleshooting efforts between teams.Strong knowledge of Virtualized or Cloud Computing.Ability to interpret the information collected by network tools (e.g. Nslookup, Ping, and Traceroute).Knowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols, and network security methodologies.Knowledge of host/network access control mechanisms (e.g., access control list, capabilities lists).Knowledge of network traffic analysis methods.Knowledge of packet-level analysis using appropriate tools (e.g., Wireshark, tcpdump).Knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, Dynamic Host Configuration, Domain Name System (DNS), and directory services.Skill in performing packet-level analysis.US Citizen and must be able to pass background check(s).
