We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Warehouse Manager to oversee our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing warehouse staff, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of inventory to all internal and external customers, and maintaining high standards of safety and organization.

Essential Functions:

Inventory Control:

Supervise and manage inventory control personnel to ensure accurate tracking of inventory levels and transactions.Revise, develop, and implement inventory management procedures to optimize stock accuracy and reduce discrepancies.Manage cycle count program and help reconcile any variances between physical counts and system records.Collaborate with procurement to fulfill inventory shortages and manage reorder processes such as kanbans.Review and recommend process improvements, such as implementing a bar code scanner.

Shipping and Receiving:

Oversee the shipping and receiving operations to ensure timely and accurate processing of incoming and outgoing shipments.Develop and enforce procedures for efficient handling, packing, and documentation of goods.Coordinate with carriers and logistics partners to schedule deliveries and resolve any shipping issues.Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.Monitor and address any issues related to inventory quality, shipping errors, or damaged goods.

Staff Supervision:

Lead, train, and evaluate warehouse staff, including inventory control personnel and shipping/receiving teams.Assign tasks and monitor performance to ensure adherence to operational standards and productivity goals.Foster a positive work environment and provide support for staff development and career growth.

Warehouse Organization:

Maintain an organized and efficient warehouse layout to optimize space utilization and workflow.Implement best practices for inventory storage, including proper labeling and stock rotation.Ensure that the warehouse is kept clean and orderly, adhering to safety and environmental regulations.Implement and maintain 5S principles (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) within the warehouse to enhance organization and efficiency.Conduct regular 5S audits and provide training to staff on 5S practices.

Safety and Compliance:

Ensure that all warehouse operations comply with company policies and industry standards, OSHA, and relevant regulationsConduct regular safety training and audits to minimize workplace hazards and accidents.

Reporting and Documentation:

Prepare and maintain accurate reports on inventory accuracy, shipping/receiving metrics (Internal and Supplier On Time Delivery), and staff performance.Document and communicate any operational issues or improvements to senior management.

Requirements:

A bachelor's degree in business administration, process management, or operations and 5 years related experience and/or trainingStrong knowledge of Lean processes and methodologies within a manufacturing environment.Experience with lean tools and process such as:

continuous flow, cycle counting, set up reduction, pull systems, and 5S practiceAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Excellent communication skills both verbal and written; ability to give and receive feedback in a professional mannerAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Acumatica ERP software or similar warehouse management system (WMS), spreadsheet software and word processing software

Working conditions:

This role has a variety of working conditions such as in an office, production floor and warehouse.In order to perform the functions required for the position, a Warehouse Manager may need to sit, stand, and walk regularly.Some environments may require reaching, climbing, stooping/kneeling and lifting weights of 30-50 pounds.May require occasional overtime or weekend work
